Cornell Cinema Showing Jason Cortlund’s “Now Forager”

Looking for an escape from the last vestiges of winter? Why not treat yourself to an interesting movie about love and nature?

Cornell cinema will be showing Jason Cortlund’s “Now, Forager” on March 29 at 9:00pm, March 30 at 7:15pm, and March 31 at 4:30pm.

The movie is a drama about a husband and wife team of mushroom foragers who earn a meager living hunting for mushrooms and selling their findings to upscale restaurants in New York City. Lucien and Regina are both chefs but they have differing goals in life. When they follow those goals, their life together begins to fall apart. Beautiful shots of the natural landscapes where the mushrooms grow add an artful quality to the film’s dramatic story.
